North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners
Established by Chapter 93-12 of the North Carolina General Statutes, the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examiners (the Board) is an independent, self-funded occupational licensing board that protects the public through the regulation of the CPA title in North Carolina. The Board approves applications for the Uniform CPA Exam and NC CPA licenses, registers CPA firms, and monitors continuing professional education (CPE) and peer review compliance. It also enforces compliance with the North Carolina General Statutes (NCGS) and North Carolina Administrative Code (NCAC) applicable to Exam candidates, licensees, and CPA firms.
