The 2024-2025 individual CPA license renewal can only be completed through the portal. All North Carolina CPAs must have an account to renew their individual CPA license. If you have not created your account, please follow the step-by-step instructions for creating an account. If you need assistance creating your account, please contact the Licensing Staff.
If you are a CPA firm supervisor who created an account for the firm registration renewal, you do not need to create a new account; you use the same account for the individual license renewal and the CPA firm registration renewal.
Instructions (PDF): Create Your NC CPA Board User Account

Troubleshooting Tips
If you have followed the account set-up instructions and your account was not created, clear your browser cache by clicking CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE keys simultaneously, then clear your history for all time and attempt to create your account again. If your account was not created, try creating your account in a different browser (i.e., use Edge instead of Chrome). If you need assistance, please contact the Licensing Staff.
